Durham Climate Choir is a local choir who sing to raise awareness about the climate crisis, new members are always welcome and no singing experience is required. We perform at local demonstrations, such as the youth climate strikes, and local climate related events. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, previously we’ve held our rehearsals at Waddington Street Church but are currently meeting online. Please get in touch through our facebook group for more details

The Durham Climate Choir formed in 2019 to support the first Global Climate Strike and has sung at each strike since in Durham City (UK). The young people who organise these strikes are so clear about the climate emergency and the need for us all to take immediate action we are glad to be able to support them as we all seek a more sustainable world. We sing to support their/our hope in action.

The Climate Choir has also supported other local events with a focus on climate justice and intend to continue to do this when circumstances allow.

Some of us are experienced singers but some are not, some read music but some do not but we join together as one voice to support those working to promote climate justice. All are welcome to join us!
